Southern Counties Lifts Services and Ace Fire Security Systems extend the UK-wide multi-service network of the andwis group

The andwis group was launched in March 2023 with four industry-leading companies within the technical building services sector, including Classic Lifts, backed by lead investor, H.I.G. Capital. The group’s network has now expanded with further investment in Southern Counties Lifts Services Limited (SCL) and Ace Fire Security Systems (Ace).

SCL was founded in 1984 and is a lift maintenance service provider to customers across London and the South East. SCL manages 900 lifts across the healthcare, hospitality, housing association and FM sectors. The company will combine with Classic Lifts to add further scale to the group’s service-led Lifts division.

Adrian Crane, MD of the Lifts Division, said “the integration of SCL’s customer service ethos with Classic Lift’s established service processes and systems provides an excellent opportunity to further enhance future services to our wider customer base.”

Ace is the foundation of the andwis group’s Fire Protection division, a critical element of its multi-service offering. Founded in 1990, Ace offers fire protection, security system integrations, monitoring and maintenance across commercial, industrial, and public sectors.

Darren Gibbons, continuing in his role as Managing Director of Ace, said “we are delighted to join the andwis group, enabling us to expand our service offering to our clients while partnering with the other group companies to extend our geographic and technological reach.”

In addition, the group will invest in technology, training, development and skills across its direct network of experts.
